How It Works
Before agreeing to represent you, I will obtain and review a complete copy of your OWCP file. We will then meet in person or speak on the phone, and discuss your case. Even if I do not think I can accomplish a successful result within a reasonable time and at a reasonable cost to you, I will render my legal opinion on what you need to do to have OWCP accept and pay (or continue to pay) your claim.
Consultation
Print out the Authorization Form, fill in, and mail back to me along with the $400* consultation fee (by check, payable to Attorney Jacqueline Shanahan) for two hours of my time in reviewing and discussing your case with you. I look forward to meeting you.
Please do not send me any documents, other than your authorization and check, unless I specifically ask you to do so.
*Note: Non-refundable. If your OWCP file contains more than 500 pages, there is an additional $400 charge for every 500 pages over the first 500 pages. We will let you know that when we receive your file from OWCP.
Strategize
Once I am official appointed as your attorney at OWCP, I will begin to execute the plan discussed at the consultation. This could include, but is not limited to: drafting appeals, researching issues, contacting medical providers and OWCP on your behalf.
Going the Distance
Managing your claim and achieving success at OWCP requires a long term commitment from you and your legal representation. We will be there every step of the way with you.
